Read and act on TutorMate progress reports

Learn how to interpret the mastery dashboard, spot misconception patterns early, and use TutorMate's insights to adjust your teaching plan.

1

Open the Teacher Dashboard

In TutorMate, click Teacher Dashboard in the left sidebar. You'll see a summary view of your courses, student roster, and overall mastery progress at a glance.

2

Drill into a course

Click on a course name to open its detailed report. The Mastery Map shows each learning objective as a node — green means mastered, amber means in progress, red means struggling.

3

Identify misconception clusters

Click any red or amber node to see a breakdown of common errors. TutorMate groups similar wrong answers into misconception patterns — for example, "Multiplying numerators and denominators when adding fractions." This tells you exactly what to address in your next lesson.

If the same misconception appears across more than 30% of your students, it's a signal to reteach the concept to the whole class, not just flag it for individual review.
4

View individual student timelines

Click a student's name to see their full learning timeline — when they attempted each concept, how many hints they needed, and how their mastery has changed over time. Use this to identify students who are quietly stuck versus those who are accelerating.

5

Export and share reports

Click Export in the top-right of any report view to download a PDF or CSV. Use this for parent-teacher conferences, school reporting, or to share progress with a co-teacher or learning support team.
